Images and Photos

Cornelius In this section of the homepage you can find, as the name already suggests, images and photographs I (hopefully, otherwise I'm for sure in biiiiig trouble) made.

I will try to publish material of only the finest quality, which is from my point of view worthy to be shown.
Admittedly, definitions of what is good and what is cruel often drift vast apart, therefore: please decide for yourself what you like, curse the rest or do your heart a favour and ignore it ;-)

How does it work?

The images are, as almost everything else on this homepage, structured by keywords (called tags).

I gave every image one or more tags, which describe it. Photos showing a cat have most likely the tag "cat", ships should have the tag "ship" and so on.

You can search for these tags (although it doesn't work quite user-friendly at the moment) and the corresponding images will be shown as thumbnails.
At present this works by appending the search words to the URL in your browsers address bar, seperated by slashes.
To search e.g. for a cat, you have to append /cat. If you want to look for cats and dogs, you write /cat/dog behind the url.
You can restrain the search to a specific timeframe, /2006/cat looks for alle cats which have been published in the year 2006, /2006/11/dog looks for all dogs published in November 2006.
If you only append the date and no tags, all the images published in this timeframe are displayed.

In the overview you can get a larger version of the images by clicking on the thumbnails.
There you can navigate forward and backwards with clicks on the right and left image border.

Would you like to know more about an image? Just click the title below the thumbnails.
A page will open which shows you a description of the image, and, if it is a photograph, extended information on the camera which took it (EXIF).
